Vehicle over the guardrails Route 295 East Chatham 09/13/21
Columbia County 911 dispatched East Chatham Firefighters and Chatham Rescue at 8:50 a.m. for a report of a vehicle in a ditch and one subject with a hand injury in the area of 751 Route 295 in the Town of Chatham. Under automatic mutual aid Canaan and Red Rock Firefighters were also dispatched.

​ When firefighters arrived they found a 2019 Mitsubishi that had gone off the roadway down an embankment and approximately 30 feet off the roadway. The vehicle was reportedly heading northeast on Route 295 went it went off the left side of the roadway.

The lone operator of the vehicle was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital by Chatham Rescue.

The New York State Police investigated.

Firefighters were back in service at 10:10 a.m.
