Vehicle Hits Tree Route 295 & Barnegat Road Canaan 12/14/19

Columbia County 911 dispatched East Chatham Firefighters at 1:47pm for a one vehicle property damage accident at the intersection of Route 295 and Barnegat Road in the Town of Canaan. The vehicle was traveling east on Route 295 and crossed over to the left side of the road at Barnegat Road, went through a field and struck a tree at a streams edge. The lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured.

The New York State Police investigated.

Firefighters were back in service at 2:12pm.
