11/29/14 Structure Fire Sharptown Road Stuyvesant
Columbia County 911 dispatched Stuyvesant Firefighters and Valatie Rescue at 5:53am for a reported structure fire at 433 Sharptown Road in the Town of Stuyvesant. Under automatic mutual aid Stuyvesant Falls and Stockport were dispatched at the same time. Command additionally called for mutual aid from Kinderhook, Valatie, Niverville, and Tri-Village. Chatham stood by at the Valatie Station. South Schodack stood by at Niverville Station #1. Schodack Landing stood by at the Stuyvesant Station.
Columbia County Fire Coordinator John Howe and Deputy Fire Coordinators Hunt, Keeler, Loeffler and Harvey were on the scene.
National Grid was requested to the scene.
Columbia County Highway was requested to sand the roadway. The Town of Stuyvesant Highway Department was also on the scene.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
One firefighter was transported to Albany Memorial by Valatie Rescue with a reported shoulder injury.
The Columbia County Cause & Origin Team is investigating.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 11:46am.
