Structure Fire Eagle Street Philmont 11/21/19
Columbia County 911 dispatched Philmont and Mellenville Firefighters and Greenport Rescue at 3:52pm for a reported structure fire at 6 Eagle Street in the Village of Philmont. Smoke was reported from the roof and windows.
Additional mutual aid companies were: Churchtown, West Ghent, Claverack, Hudson, and Greenport with their FAST team.
Greenport additionally stood by in their quarters. Craryville and Ghent stood by for both Philmont and Mellenville districts.
The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office, Columbia County Cause and Origin Team, New York State Police and Columbia County Sheriff's Department were on the scene.
New York State Electric & Gas and the Philmont Building Inspector were requested to scene.
It was reported that the home was gutted and a couple of cats perished in the blaze.
