Columbia County 911 dispatched Philmont Firefighters and Greenport Rescue at 8:44am for a reported school bus on its side on Route 11 near Prach Road in the Town of Claverack.

The small bus was reportedly owned by Johnston & Pulcher of Philmont.

A helicopter was placed on standby but they declined due to the weather.

Greenport Rescue transported two patients to Columbia Memorial Hospital and one to Albany Medical Center. One subject refused medical treatment.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Department investigated. The New York State Police assisted at the scene.

Columbia County Fire Coordinator John Howe was on the scene.

Firefighters were back in service at 10:25am.
