Russell Wheeler honored for 50 years of service with Lebanon Valley Protective Association 11/05/18
Family, friends and fellow firefighters came out to honor Lebanon Valley Protective Association member Russell Wheeler for 50 years of service. He was honored just before the monthly meeting of the fire company.
Russell joined the fire company on September 9, 1968. During his 50 active years he has served as Assistant Chief, President, Treasurer, Director and many of those years with Lebanon Valley Rescue.
Presentations were made by his son, Benjamin Wheeler, currently 2nd Assistant Chief of the department and Deputy Chief with the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, Matthew Larabee department member and representative for Assemblyman Jake Ashby, and David Chapman representative for the Fireman's Association of New York.
Russell received certificates from the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, Firemen's Association of New York, New York State Association of Fire Chief's and the New York State Assembly.
