Milk Tanker Accident in New Lebanon 12/23/22
Columbia County 911 dispatched Lebanon Valley Firefighters and Chatham Rescue at 5:15pm for a reported tractor trailer that struck a residence with extensive damage. The incident was located at 4 Main Street in the Town of New Lebanon.
It was reported from the scene that a milk tanker struck some trees, a car and overturned into a building. The truck was leaking milk and also diesel fuel from its saddle tanks.
The Building Inspector was requested to the scene and the Red Cross was requested to assist the residents.
Stephentown Firefighters were requested to close down State Route 22.
There was no transport by Chatham Rescue.
The New York State Police investigated.
Firefighters were back in service Christmas Eve at 12:46am.
