HazMat Team responds to Canaan 10/29/19
Columbia County 911 dispatched Canaan and Red Rock Firefighters and Chatham Rescue at 12:32pm for a report of a truck leaking an unknown type fluid at the Loves Truck Stop at 12845 Route 22 in the Town of Canaan. The tractor trailer was reportedly carrying 113 drums of used motor oil, antifreeze and corrosives. 

The Columbia County HazMat Team was requested and responded to the scene. The Greene County Team was requested to standby.

The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office was on the scene.

CMD reported the leak was used motor oil from a drum.

​Firefighters were back in service at 3:29pm.​
