Excavator Fire in Canaan 12/09/21
Columbia County 911 dispatched the Canaan Task Force and Chatham Rescue at 3:00pm for a report of an excavator on fire in the building at the B3 Transfer Station located at 25 Flints Crossing Road in the Town of Canaan. 

Firefighters from Canaan, Red Rock, East Chatham and New Lebanon initially responded. Mutual aid was requested from Richmond and West Stockbridge.

The excavator and some garbage burned.

​The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office was on the scene.

​Firefighters were back in service at 5:58pm.   

​Canaan and Red Rock were dispatched back to the scene at 7:20pm for a rekindle of the garbage. They were back in service at 10:34pm.
