Communications Shelter delivered to Copake 03/18/14

03/18/14

Columbia County 911 took delivery of a new communications shelter. The 12' x 20' shelter was delivered to the Copake tower site on Route 7.

To start, the shelter will house radio equipment to help improve Columbia County fire communications. The current low band fire frequency will be in service at this location. In the near future the new high band frequencies will be added.

The shelter was manufactured by United Concrete of Connecticut. Eastern Communications, also from Connecticut did the concrete slab work and is doing the electrical work. Costantzi Crane of Kingston delivered the shelter to the site.
