Car / Tree Accident on the TSP Claverack 06/19/14
Columbia County 911 dispatched Churchtown Firefighters and Greenport Rescue at 6:38am for a reported car into a tree with entrapment on the Taconic State Parkway near Snydertown Road in the Town of Claverack. The accident was in the northbound lane. Churchtown Command requested mutual aid from Taghkanic with their jaws.
A helicopter was placed on standby and then declined the flight.
Greenport Rescue transported the lone occupant to Albany Medical Center.
The northbound lane of the TSP was closed during the incident.
The New York State Police investigated.
Firefighters were back in service at 7:55am.
