Cabulance strikes guardrails Route 295 Canaan 10/09/19
Columbia County 911 dispatched Canaan and Red Rock Firefighters and Chatham Rescue at 7:02am for a report of a vehicle that struck guardrails on Route 295 about 1/10 of a mile east of Beebe Pond Road in the Town of Canaan. Red Rock Firefighters were returned to service before they arrived.
A Cabulance was traveling eastbound on Route 295 when it went off the the right shoulder of the roadway and struck guardrails. It was reported that approximately 200 feet of guardrails were knocked down.
Chatham Rescue transported one to Berkshire Medical Center. There were no patients being transported by the Cabulance at the time of the accident.
The New York State Department of Transportation was on the scene and the Department of Environmental Conservation was advised of the fuel leak.
The New York State Police investigated.
Firefighters were back in service at 8:42am.
