Battalion Response to Structure Fire Frisbee Street Canaan 11/23/15
Columbia County 911 dispatched the Canaan Task Force at 8:35pm for a reported structure fire at 667 Frisbee Street in the Town of Canaan. Firefighters from Canaan, Lebanon Valley, East Chatham and Red Rock initially responded. Canaan Car 1 requested a tanker Battalion response. This brought additional firefighters from the Austerlitz Fire District, Niverville, North Chatham and TriVillage. He later requested manpower from Chatham and Richmond.
The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office and Columbia County Cause & Origin Team were on the scene.
The Canaan Highway Department was requested to respond a sand truck to the intersection of Frisbee Street and Surowiec Road. The intersection near the tanker fill site was icing up.
The New York State Police assisted at the scene.
Firefighters were back in service at 3:36am.
