06/21/14 1st Annual Bocce Tournament & Cookout East Chatham
The East Chatham Fire Company held their 1st Annual Bocce Tournament & Cookout on June 21st at their station on Frisbee Street. The afternoon started off with a meal of pulled pork, chicken wings, ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs, cornbread, cole slaw, watermelon and all the fixings.
The East Chatham Auxiliary also sponsored a bake sale during the event. Some of the goodies that were available were strawberry shortcake and strawberry rhubarb pie.
Six teams competed for the prestigious East Chatham Cup. Teams were from the East Chatham Fire Company, Canaan Protective Fire Company, Red Rock Volunteer Fire Company, Lebanon Valley Protective Association, North Chatham Fire Company and the Hudson Police Department.
The one man team of Bud Godfroy from the Lebanon Valley Protective Association won the tournament in a playoff game against the Hudson Police Department.
