A stubborn fire and frigid temperatures kept volunteers busy Sunday. Three fire companies from Columbia and Greene counties had their hands full fighting a chimney fire that spread quickly to the second floor at 261 Broome Street in Catskill. Fire officials say that they were able to contain the fire to portions of the second floor.

Hudson Firefighters with their F.A.S.T. were dispatched by Columbia County 911 at 12:12p.m. and were back in service at 1:15p.m.
