On Thursday October 13, 2011 the
Niverville and Valatie Fire Departments shared the message of Fire Prevention with the students at the Ichabod Crane Primary
School. In addition to Niverville's Rescue truck and an engine, the children saw Valatie's ladder truck
and demonstrations by the Niverville Fire Department of firefighting gear and an interactive fire extinguisher lesson
in which the teachers were taught how to use extinguishers. The students also had a good time with Sparky the Fire Dog
and Patches in the battery powered fire truck.
