Stuyvesant Firefighters and Valatie Rescue were dispatched to a reported brush fire at 29 Scism Road in Stuyvesant on Friday. Stuyvesant Falls was dispatched under automatic mutual aid. Columbia 911 dispatched units at 10:54 a.m. Stuyvesant Falls stoodby in Stuyvesant's quarters.

It was reported to ColumbiaPage that about 1/2 acre burned and it started from an illegal burn pit. Wind was a factor and helped to quickly spread the fire.

All units were in service at 12:08 p.m.
