I created this site for the Volunteer Firefighters
of Columbia County,
New York.
I am a 911 dispatcher for Columbia County, New York. I have been dispatching since 1988 when I started
with the Columbia County Sheriff's Department. My county dispatch number is 11-27.
I am a past police officer of the Village of Chatham Police Department.
I started there in 1983. I was a road deputy with the Columbia County Sheriff's Department. After working the road
and communications I found that the Communications Division was for me.
I have been a volunteer firefighter since 1981. I am currently
a member of the Canaan Protective Fire Company. I am a past member of the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Company and East
Chatham Fire Company.
I
am a life member of the Chatham Rescue Squad.
One of my interests is photography. I started taking photos in my high school years. I
was a yearbook photographer and developed my own black and white images.
I started out with my fathers old Voightlander 35mm camera. I now use a Pentax SLR Digital K100D. What a difference
digital makes!
I have had photos
published in: The Columbia Paper, ccScoop, The Chatham Courier, The Chatham Press, Register Star, The Independent, Albany
Times Union, Berkshire Eagle, Firehouse Magazine, The New York Troooper Magazine, The Empire State Sheriff Magazine,
and 1st Responder Newspaper and website. Many of my photos appear on the web on fire department websites.
This site will list upcoming Columbia County
Fire Company events. It will have photos of incidents that have occured in Columbia County and once in awhile out of the county.
If you have photos to share or want to
list an upcoming event please email me at:
