At 0223 hrs. on January 9, Columbia 911 dispatched the Valatie Fire Department to 87 Pinto Ranch Road in the Town of Kinderhook for an indoor smoke investigation.  Engine 552, Ladder 55, Engine 553 and, under automatic mutual aid, Kinderhook Engine 351, responded. 

Units found a light smoke condition in the basement with elevated carbon monoxide levels in the residence.  The Valatie Rescue Squad evaluated the residents.  The furnace was found to be backed up.  All units were back in service at 0331.
