Firefighters from Hudson, Greenport, Hillsdale, Copake, Stuyvesant, Kinderhook and Ancram successfully completed a Fire Fighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) course on December 21, 2009.  Lead instructor was Wayne Gearing assisted by Joe Laviano and Bud Godfroy.

Participants in this course learn skills to search for and rescue other fire fighters who may become trapped, disoriented, injured or are otherwise unable to get out of a burning structure on their own due to rapidly deteriorating conditions.  The course was hosted by J. W. Hoystradt #8 and the skills portion of the course was conducted at the Hudson Central Station.

Thank you to Hudson for hosting this important course!
