Stockport Firefighters and under automatic mutual aid Stottville Firefighters were dispatched just before 11a.m. for a reported mobile home fire at the Widows Creek MHP at 301 West Ghent Road in the Town of Stockport. Upon arrivial units found a working structure fire. Stockport Command requested additional mutual aid from West Ghent, Stuyvesant and Stuyvesant Falls to the scene. Stuyvesant additionally stoodby at the Stockport Station.

The fire was so intense that it melted siding on a nearby home. A nearby shed also sustained damage,

County Highway was requested to sand in the area of County Route 25 and West Ghent Road.

National Grid was requested to disconnect power to the mobile home.

The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office and Greenport Rescue were on the scene.

The New York State Police and Stockport Police assisted at the scene.

The fire in under investigation by the Columbia County Cause & Origin Team.
