Columbia County 911 dispatched the Austerlitz Fire District and Chatham Rescue to a reported fire alarm activation at 118 Spencer Road in the Town of Austerlitz just before 7 a.m. Upon arrivial Austerlitz Car 2 reported a working structure fire and quickly requested mutual aid. 

Austerlitz Command requested mutual aid to the scene from Red Rock, Canaan, East Chatham, Lebanon Valley, Chatham and Hillsdale.

Craryville stoodby in their own quarters for Hillsdale.

Philmont Rescue was requested to the scene by Chatham Rescue.

The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office was on the scene.

One Red Rock firefighter reportedly fell through the floor to the basement but was not injured.

New York State Electric and Gas was requested to disconnect power.

The Columbia County Cause & Origin Team was requested and is investigating.   

The Austerlitz Fire District was dispatched back to the scene at 20:31 and on Wednesday morning at 07:32 for rekindles.
