Greenport Firefighters and Greenport Rescue were dispatched by Columbia 911 just after 4pm for a
reported sign fire and smoke from the eves at the Spring Garden Restaurant at 350 Fairview Ave. in the Town of Greenport.
Upon arrivial firefighters confirmed the sign was on fire in the front of the building. The Greenport building inspector
was requested to the scene.
The fire was reported out and units were returning after about 45 minutes.
