Columbia County 911 dispatched
Clermont Firefighters and NDP for a reported serious car/tractor trailer accident on Rt 9G near Cemetery Road in the Town
of Clermont at 08:45.
Columbia 911 recieved the report from the Sheriff's Department.
The Sheriff's
Department reports a 2007 Toyota driven by Helene Stril-Rever, age 25, of Waltham,Ma. crossed over into the northbound lane
for an unknown reason and struck a tractor trailer. The tractor trailer, a 2003 Peterbuilt, was opertated by Walter
Reeves of Freehold,NY. Mr. Reeves was not injured.
Coroner Dr.George Davis responded to the scene where he prounounced
Ms. Stril-Rever dead.
EMS Coordinator PJ Keeler was on the scene.
Germantown Firefighters were called
under mutual aid to assist with traffic at Route 9G and Roundtop Road.
The accident is under investigation
by the Sheriff's Department.
