The Towns of Stuyvesant and Stockport celebrated the 400th
anniversary of the landing of Henry Hudson. On Saturday, there was a peoples parade in Stuyvesant Falls, with Stuyvesant
Falls, Stuyvesant, Stockport, Kinderhook and West Ghent fire companies participating. Stuyvesant Falls Fire Explorer
Post 65 provided refreshments: hot dogs and soda, while the fire company hosted an open house. Sunday's events moved
over to Stuyvesant, with an open house of Stuyvesant's firehouse, the smoke trailer and activities for the youngsters.
The evening was culminated by a fireworks display.
