The Valatie Fire Department held a wetdown for its new ladder truck. The truck is a 2009 KME Preditor 100' aerial ladder.

Companies providing the "wet" were from: Niverville, Kinderhook, Ghent, Red Rock and Chatham.

Red Rock brought Valatie's old ladder, a 1978 KME Pirsch 100' aerial ladder to do the wetting.

The Valatie mayor and board members were present along with neighboring fire company members and the general public. T-shirts and hats were available and hot dogs and beverages were served.
