Ancram firefighters were dispatched by Columbia 911 at 12:58 for a fire alarm activation at 383 Pooles Hill Rd T/Ancram.

Upon arrivial Ancram Car 3 reported smoke from the eves of the residence and requested all equipment to respond.

Under Mutual Aid Command requested Taghkanic and Copake to the scene with interior firefighters and manpower while Hillsdale and Craryville stoodby in their own quarters.

The fire was reported knocked down in about an hour.

Copake Rescue was on scene conducting rehab. No injuries were reported.

Ancram Car 1 reported painters using propane torches to remove paint caused the fire. Balloon construction caused the fire to spread quickly.
