Stuyvesant Firefighters and under automatic mutual aid, Stuyvesant Falls, Niverville, Schodack Landing and South Schodack were dispatched at 07:29 for a reported residential structure fire at 2098 Route 9J in the Town of Stuyvesant.

First units on scene confirmed a working structure fire.

Mutual aid companies on scene or standing by were from: Stockport, Kinderhook, Stottville, West Ghent, Chatham, Nassau, 

National Grid was requested to cut power to the residence.

The town building inspector was requested to respond.

The Columbia County Fire Coordinators Office and Valatie Rescue were on the scene.

The Columbia County Cause & Origin Team was called to investigate.

Initial reports indicated the start of the fire may have been electrical in nature. The home was being renovated.
 
Steve Montie, Stuyvesant Car 1 reported moderate fire, smoke and water damage to the first and second floors of the home.
