Can you identify anyone in these photos?
Sylvester Walker who was the Town Supervisor of Canaan at the time is in a few of the photos. He is "dispatching"
with the microphone in hand in three of the photos. He was a major force for getting the radio system for the county.
Dan Post is the gentleman in the Motorola uniform.
These photos were taken when the dispatch center was located at the site of the current Columbia County
Courthouse on Union Street in Hudson, NY. It was in the old jail section which has since been torn down.
